Jun, who eventually found employment as a security guard, started seeing the glittering stars of Bollywood in front of his eyes, and that is when he started hatching plans of making a name for himself in the industry. “In 2002, I became a security guard; then, I jpoined a gym after people egged me on that I should join a gym as I have a good physique and height.”
The Assam lad also said that he always gave secondary importance to money, and work was always his primary focus, and his hard work and discipline is now paying dividends.
The actor from Assam revealed that he also contested in the Mr Gujarat competition way back in 2007, and was even selected in the top 1. “However, I was unable to make the cut in the final”, he says with a hint of regret.
However, he has now been able to star in several films, including the historical epic, ‘Mohenjodaro’ starring Hrithik Roshan. Now, he will be seen in the highly anticipated ‘Sooryavanshi’ starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Rohit Shetty. Meanwhile, Raj has appealed all the people from his native Assam to go and watch the film and thus support him in his endeavours to become a successful brand in the multi-billion dollar industry Bollywood.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sooryavanshi is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Rohit Shetty and written by Yunus Sajawal. Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Apoorva Mehta and Rohit Shetty.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi has been postponed due to Coronavirus outbreak. The makers recently released an official statement saying that the film will hit the theatres when the time is right.
The statement read, “Sooryavanshi is an experience that we have created for you with over a year of dedication and hard work, and the response we received for its trailer was nothing less than electrifying and made it clear that this film truly belongs to its audience… We have been as excited as you are to present the film to you and your family, but due to the recent outburst of the COVID – 19 (Coronavirus), we, the makers, have decided to postpone the release of your film Sooryavanshi, keeping in mind the health and safety of our beloved audience… And therefore, Sooryavanshi will be back for you just when the time is right… After all, safety comes first… Until then, keep the excitement alive, take good care of yourself and stay strong… We shall pull through this… -Team SOORYAVANSHI.”
