The World Health Organisation (WHO) has sent a team of experts to China to help combat Coronavirus.

The WHO team will be aiding at the hour of the unfortunate hour in China where more than 900 people have died so far following the outbreak of Coronavirus. Over 40,000 cases of Coronavirus have been reported from China.

Director-General of WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that the international team left for China on Sunday. As many as 97 new deaths and 3073 new cases have been reported due to novel coronavirus in China as on Sunday. Confirmed cases of Coronavirus have reached 320 across the world.

Coronavirus, which is believed to have emerged in 2019 at the Wuhan province in China, has now spread to more than 25 countries so far.

The doctor, Li Wenliang, who had earlier sent out warnings about the possible outbreak of Coronavirus also died in Wuhan Hospital after he contracted the disease while treating the patients.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared Coronavirus as global health emergency. Coronavirus has led to the lockdown of cities, shutting of businesses temporarily and evacuation of nationals of other countries from China.

The governments of countries worldwide have taken precautionary measures to prevent the outbreak of the disease. Isolation wards have also been kept at standby to treat patients who test positive.
