3-time former Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi, has warned that the fire of the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act agitation shall continue for many more days to come.

The veteran Congress leader has forewarned that the fire of the movement would not fizzle out as the Government, and especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has resolved not to give an inch in its endeavor to enact the controversial CAA.

Adding that he feels that the agitation will continues for many days to come because of the Centre’s refusal to budge on their CAA stand, Gogoi warned that the fires of the rebellion is burning more brightly than ever before.

“We have seen woman in Assam coming out, and now, women from all over the country have come out, and we have also seen students”, Gogoi stated, commending the various sections of the society for opposing the CAA.

Even in Bihu, the killing of Ravana has become, and it has occurred near the house of the Chief Minister of Assam. We have to smite all the Ravanas of Assam, Gogoi said, accusing the rival BJP party of attempting to divide the Assamese people along communal lines.

“Equality once existed in Assam…and now they are trying to change them. We must defeat them”, Gogoi said.

Turning down heavily on Assam’s Chief Minister Sonowal, Gogoi said the same Sonowal who once swore to drive out foreigners, now seeks to protect the same in a bid to secure his throne and appease Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
