The Churches will be observing the celebrations for the ‘Mahotsav’ to send out a positive message amid disturbances cropping from the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
On Wednesday, the Churches in Sikkim also saw thousands of people pouring in for the Christmas mass. Joining in the celebrations around the world, Sikkim also called for world peace and harmony.
The Churches, streets and houses were lit up on the occasion of Christmas. People were also seen rushing to the nearest bakeries for plum cakes and other desserts.
