The protesters have set fire to a bus, a crane, and vandalized many small vehicles.
It is to be mentioned here that the state of Assam has erupted with massive protests as thousands of students and the general public have moved onto the streets, demanding immediate scrapping of the Bill.
Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was reportedly trapped at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International airport for several hours amid the ongoing Citizenship (Amendment) Bill protests, which have been raging across Assam.
According to reports, Sonowal, who had landed from Tezpur, was forced to wait in the VIP lounge of the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International airport for several hours, as his convoy could not roll out due to protests.
