Troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) seized 1,372 Yaba Tablets on Tuesday from the border area of Deepchar in South Salmara district of Mankachar, Assam.

It may be mentioned that on September 9, personnel of the Border Security Forces (BSF) has nabbed yet another cattle smuggler along the Indo-Bangladesh border near the Sishumara Border Outlook Post.
Based on early morning special intelligence reports, a boat patrolling was deployed in the riverine area. At around 5:15 am, the ambush/Boat Patrolling party observed the suspicious movement of a miscreant. The BSF party challenged the miscreant and had apprehended him, along with three cattle heads.
The Border Security Force (BSF) is the border defence organization of India. It is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces of India, and was raised in the wake of the 1965 War on 1 December 1965, “for ensuring the security of the borders of India and for matters connected there with”.
