The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders today paid tributes to the party’s tallest stalwart, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on his first death anniversary. A prayer meet was held at the Sadaiv Atal memorial that was set in his remembrance in December 2018.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s daughter Namita Kaul Bhattacharya and granddaughter Niharika were also present at the event.
The former Prime Minister of India passed away at the age of 93 on August 16 last year in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) hospital, New Delhi. He was one of the few politicians of the country to be awarded with the Bharat Ratna.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee was elected to the Lok Sabha 11 times and he had been the member of the Rajya Sabha for 2 times. He led the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government from 1998-2004.
