In the video, originally posted on the ‘Like’ app, the sprint sensation can be seen moving her lips to the words, “Saare jahan se achcha, Hindustan hamara, aao dosto sab log saath milke desh ka tiranga lehraye”, which can be roughly translated to ‘better than the rest of world, is our country India; come friends, let us wave the tricolor flag together’.

Then, the popular patriotic song ‘Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walon’, starts playing in the background as Hima continues to wave the tricolor flag.

Apparently, the flag waving is a new challenge on the ‘Like’ app in an attempt to create a Guiness World Record. Informing this on Twitter, Hima wrote, “Join me to express love and gratitude and love for all our brave fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation and gift us a free nation. Download Likee App, join the #IAMINDIAN challenge and together let’s create a history by creating flag waving videos and making a Guinness World Record..”

It is to be mentioned that the superstar from Dhing (in Assam’s Nagaon) has done the entire nation proud in the recent past as she went on a gold medal winning spree in Europe, winning multiple golds within a span of a month, earning love, praise, and adulation from all corners of the nation.

The sprinting sensation will now have her sights set on the Olympics which are to be held in Tokyo in 2020.
