Teachers of Margherita, Digboi, Ledo, Barogolai, Lekhapani and Jagun under Margherita Sub division also boycotted their classes following which the students had to suffer.
Boycotting the classes teachers of Digboi staged protest holding placards against Education Minister of Assam.
The protesting teachers told to media, “Whenever we tried to meet Education Minister of Assam, he scold us and tell that us that we don’t have time to look after all these things.”
The All Assam High School Contractual Teachers Association have threatened the Education minister that if their salaries were not cleared and other demands were not fulfilled at the earliest than they shall permanently boycott the classes.
