“We admit that non-Bodos have a genuine issue, but these will have to be resolved through discussions at the Parliament and not through violence”, he said, taking a jibe at sitting Kokrajhar MP Naba ‘Hira’ Sarania, former ULFA leader-turned-MP.
Rabha further added that Sarania will not be re-elected. “He is not a factor anymore. He did not fulfill any of his promises. People of Kokrajhar have no idea where he sits in the Parliament. No records exist of his speeches. Nobody knows where he spent the 25 crore rupees.”
Rabha also accused the BJP-led ruling Government of adopting communal politics. “Congress believes in inclusive politics and there is place in Congress for every dissenting view. We have to vanquish the AGP-BJP-BPF at any cost as their divisive politics will bring peril to Assam” he said.
