Making the announcement on Monday, Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma has also announced United Democratic Party’s Jemino Mawthow as the Lok Sabha contender from Shillong.
While addressing the press after the end of the meeting, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said: “The MDA has unanimously taken a decision on fielding a common candidate from both Shillong and Tura seats.”
