It is to be mentioned that hundreds upon hundreds of Indian patriots have assembled at the border to catch a glimpse of the war hero, beating drum sand shouting slogans of ‘Bharat Maata ki Jai’.
Abhinandan was taken prisoner by Pakistani armed forces after his MiG-21 Fighter Jet crash-landed on the wrong side of the Line of Control on Wednesday. 24 hours after his capture, Pakistan Prime Minister announced to hand him over to India as a “gesture of peace”, although Indian officials have stated that Pakistan was compelled to do so because of the international ‘Geneva peace conventions’.
It is to be mentioned that the daily ‘Retreat ceremony’ that is held at the Attari-Wagah border front along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab has been “canceled” for Friday due to administrative proceedings of Abhinandan’s release.
