Guwahati, November 14, 2018:
BJP workers on Wednesday vandalized a party office in Upper Majuli after the party decided to share five seats on the river island with the Gana Shakti in the upcoming panchayat elections.
According to reports, the BJP grassroots workers were unhappy with the party’s seat-sharing agreement with Gana Shakti.
The workers accused the BJP of depriving some deserving party candidates who were denied tickets.
The workers “destroyed” almost everything that was inside the BJP office. The police later controlled the situation.
