The three-day Guru Diwas Celebrations, which showcased the Folk Dances, Arts, Music and Sports of the Indigenous people of the State, concluded on Sunday at Central Donyi Polo Yelam Kebang, Gangging premises.

Addressing a gathering, Minister Health & Family Welfare, Alo Libang said, “Donyi Polo and other indigenous faiths has been practiced since time immemorial since the beginning of mankind adding that our ancient faith and belief system ,culture and heritage have to be preserved and promoted. Our indigenous faiths and all other faiths worship the Omnipresent One in various forms.”
Stressing on remaining connected to our cultural roots, the minister further stressed on keeping alive our rich Indigenous Festivals, Indigenous forms of Folks Arts like Dances, Music, Arts, and Crafts etc, so as to pass on the younger generations till posterity. He also congratulated the organizers, members and cultural troupes from various parts of the State.
The DC Pasighat, Tamiyo Tatak also congratulated all for putting up the cultural extravaganza and various other events on Arts, traditional Sports, which have been participated by Folk Artistes, youth, children and representatives from various parts of the State. Such events are also platforms for interactions and cultural exchanges, he added.
The DC urged young Research Scholars to contribute in developing a Common Script of the Tribal groups of the state. He also urged all to strive together to strengthen and promote our cultural heritage and values.
Earlier, the event started with Chanting of Hymns by Priest, Amik-Matai Ringya –Jawmalo, Soloi Ngadong.
The three-day Lambona Longa (Guru Diwas) was jointly organized by the Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) and Central Donyi-Polo Yelam Kebang, Pasighat.
