Assam power minister Pallab Lochan Das was reportedly apprehended by Tripura police late Friday evening for allegedly moving in Gandacharra in Dhalai district. According to sources, Das was found moving in the area after the campaigning process came to a halt at 4 pm. The young Assam minister was on a election campaign trail in poll bound Tripura. It may be mentioned that today was the penultimate day of campaigning for Tripura assembly elections. Tripura is going to assembly polls on February 18.

According to the Election Commision, no member of any political party can stay after 4 pm of the penultimate day in the state going for polls.
